K-8 Summer Learning 2021

For summer 2021, Bulloch County Schools will offer several learning opportunities for students who have just completed grades Kindergarten through eighth-grade. See the links below to register your interest.

This is not summer school as we have known it in the past. It is not intended to remediate students for a standardized test. We are re-imagining what learning can be and taking advantage of this opportunity to do things differently to better meet the needs of our students.

Purpose

The purpose of these summer learning opportunities is to close learning gaps that exist due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The instructional focus will be on critical skills for English language arts and math to help students prepare for the next grade level. In addition, participating middle school students will enjoy a variety of engaging connections offerings such as: science-technology-engineering-math projects, sports camps, agriculture-based activities, culinary arts, and/or fine arts. Offerings will vary by learning site.

Meals & Transportation

Breakfast and lunch will be provided at all sites using a combination of Bulloch County Schools' summer feeding program and Second Harvest. School bus transportation is available for most sites, if needed.

Complete A Survey to Register Interest

Please complete a survey to indicate your interest in one or more of these programs. Complete the survey that includes the grade level your child will complete this year.

Space is limited, so you should only indicate interest in a summer learning opportunity if your child will be able to attend at least 90 percent of the class days.  Our school district coordinators will contact you by the end of April 2021, regarding placement of your child into this summer learning program.
