Automatic Withdrawal

Students who fail to attend any required class meetings for 10 consecutive school days will be withdrawn for lack of attendance.  Failure to provide evidence of transfer for students under age 16 will result in a referral to the Division of Family and Children Services, as required by the Official Code of Georgia 20-2-785.

Students automatically withdrawn due to non-attendance will be placed in probationary status.  When students are placed on probation, a parent-teacher conference shall be required to develop an academic contract prior to re-entry into the virtual program.  Failure to attend the parent-teacher conference meeting within one week of being informed of withdrawal will result in the student being automatically placed back in the traditional face-to-face model at the home school if they wish to re-enroll in Bulloch County Schools. These students will not be allowed to re-enroll in the Virtual Program during the current academic year and may not be eligible for the Virtual Program in future academic years.
