Bulloch County Residency

The Bulloch County Schools Virtual Program is only available to children of *full-time residents of Bulloch County. While families of virtual learners may enjoy some travel and parental visitation flexibility, the primary registering parent must continue to remain a full-time resident.  The district may periodically request parents provide updated proof of residency to ensure compliance with this requirement.

Students found to no longer be living in Bulloch County will be withdrawn from Bulloch County Schools immediately.  Upon withdrawal, a parent may enroll their child(ren) in the school district in which they reside, elect to home school their child(ren), or enroll their child(ren) in another private, parochial, or charter school program. Failure to provide evidence of transfer to the school district, will result in a referral to the Division of Family and Children Services, as required by O.C.G.A. 20-2-785.

*Exceptions apply for children of full-time employees of Bulloch County Schools, as specified in policy JBCCA: Student Assignment to Schools.
