Expectations for Schools
  • Provide an academic advisory session for students and enroll students in appropriate courses.
  • Provide Chromebooks for students who need them.
  • Provide orientation and training for parents/students.
  • Teachers will schedule times to provide supplemental (individualized and/or small group) support for students.
  • Teachers will work with families as much as possible to provide flexibility for learning support. This may include recorded supplemental lessons for students to view later or schedule an alternate time to meet virtually outside of the normal school day.
  • Accommodations and modifications for students with Individualized Education Programs or 504 plans will be provided when feasible.
  • Monitor student progress weekly and follow up with students/parents as needed.
  • Teachers will provide regular feedback to families through frequent parent/teacher conferences.
  • Answer emails and other modes of communication from the parent/student within 24 hours.
  • Notify the student/parent of any required state or district assessments.
Expectations for Students & Parents
  • Attend mandatory academic advisement session.
  • Students will be expected to complete lessons each week and make adequate progress towards standards mastery.
  • Parents will ensure students have a device and reliable internet access to be able to participate in the virtual learning program. Chromebooks can be checked out from the school if needed. In addition, if reliable internet access is not available, the parent will notify their child’s school to discuss potential options.
  • Attend frequent parent/teacher conferences. 
  • Participate in parent/student orientation and training sessions for the virtual learning program.
  • Answer emails and other modes of communication from the school within 24 hours.
  • Participate in any state or district required assessments.
  • Ensure all assessments are taken by the student without unauthorized assistance.
  • Reach out to the school when additional support is needed.
