🔎 Before You Submit Your Research Request

Please review this checklist carefully.
Applications that do not meet all requirements below will not be accepted for review.

  • I have secured full Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval.
    • My IRB status is approved (not pending, under review, or in progress).
    • I am prepared to upload official IRB approval documentation.
  • I am submitting during an active Research Submission Window.
    • Fall Window: July 15 – September 15
    • Spring Window:
      • November 15 – December 5 OR 
      • (after district winter break): January 2 – February 15
    • I understand applications submitted outside these windows will not be reviewed.
  • My application is complete.
    • All consent/assent forms are finalized.
    • All surveys, interview questions, protocols, and instruments are attached.
    • All procedures and assessment tools are included.
  • My study aligns with Bulloch County Schools priorities.
    • The research benefits students.
    • It minimizes disruption to instruction and teacher planning time.
    • It aligns with the District Strategic Plan and/or participating schools’ School Improvement Plans.
    • It protects the privacy and confidentiality of students, parents, and staff.

Important

The Research Request Committee does not conduct preliminary, provisional, conditional, or place-holding reviews.

Incomplete submissions or applications without full IRB approval will not be reviewed and must be resubmitted during a future submission window once all requirements are met.
