Summer Camps & Learning

Georgia Southern University's College of Engineering will host a Gulfstream Eagle Engineering & Computing Camp for rising tenth through twelfth-grade students. It will be held at the university's Armstrong Campus in Savannah.

:Two sessions available.  June 2-6 and June 9-13. Sessions are similar.

: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Wednesdays, it will be an extended day until 5 p.m.

The Xcel Worx Summer Skills Camp is coming to Statesboro for current and rising middle school students. The camp is filled with fun, hands-on experiences designed to build leadership and real-life skills and encourage students to explore new strengths, interests, and opportunities.

Georgia Southern University's Virtual Collaboration Center is hosting multiple camps this summer for children of all ages who are interested in gaming, design, photography and more. Learn more about this camps.

Statesboro High School will host an All Sports Summer Camp (Football, flag football, softball, baseball, tennis, soccer, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, golf, and air rifle) for any rising second through seventh-grade students regardless of their school. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Bulloch County Literacy Council.

:June 9-12

: 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for Mon. to Wed.; 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thurs.

Statesboro High School's Cheerleading squads and coaches will host a cheerleading camp for any girls ages four years old (by June 1) through rising eighth-grade students regardless of their school.

Southeast Bulloch High School's cheerleading squads and coaches will host a Junior Jackets Cheer Camp for rising Kindergarten students through rising eighth-grade students from any school. Campers are guaranteed a t-shirt if registered by June 20.

Statesboro High School Head Wrestling Coach Chris Wickstrom and Statesboro athletes will host a Kid's Wrestling Camp for any boys and girls age five (by June 1) through rising eighth-grade students regardless of their school.

:June 16-19

: 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon

Statesboro High School Head Volleyball Coach Bob Massee and the Blue Devil Volleyball Team will host a summer camp for any students in grades 2 to 12 regardless of their school. Campers should bring their own water bottle. Campers will receive a camp t-shirt. If you are registering more than one child, please complete a form for each child.

: July 7-10, 2025

: Two Sessions:

• Beginners: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for grades 2 to 8. They will split the girls up by age groups.
• Elites: 12:30 to 3 p.m. for grades 7-12. This is for campers who have volleyball experience and have played at the high school or middle school level.

: Statesboro High School Junior Varsity Gymnasium

Statesboro High School Girls Basketball Head Coach Marty Holder and the Lady Blue Devils will host a youth girls basketball camp for any girls who are rising first graders through eighth-grade regardless of their school. The camp focuses on skills development and confidence building. The first 30 campers will receive a camp t-shirt.

:June 4-5

: 8 a.m. to 12 noon

Southeast Bulloch High School Head Basketball Coach Tony Raymond as well as players and coaches will host a skills camp for any boys and girls, regardless of their school affiliation, who are rising third-grade students through eighth grade. Register by May 29 to guarantee a camp t-shirt.

Georgia Southern University Athletics will host Lil' Eagles Basketball Camps this summer for children ages 4 to 18. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt.

: June 16-18, 2025

: 9 a.m. to 12 noon for the camp for ages 4 to 6; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the camp for ages 7 to 18. Check in begins at 7:30 a.m. each day for both camps.

The Georgia Southern University Shooting Sports Education Center offers a variety of programs throughout the summer for you, your family and your youth ages 7 and up. Check out some of their offerings here.

Southeast Bulloch High School's tennis teams and coaches will host a tennis camp for any boys and girls who are rising fifth graders through eighth grade (ages 10-14) regardless of their school. 

: July 7 - 10; May use Friday, July 11 if rain cancels any other day.

Statesboro High School's drama students are hosting a theatre camp this summer for elementary and middle school students. There are three camp levels: 

• Kindergarten-second grade
• Third through fifth-grade
• Sixth through eighth-grade

Each level will have specific activities and final public performances for family and friends on the last day of camp. 

Camp includes a mid-morning snack. Campers are encouraged bring their own water bottle and to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

All sessions will be taught by Statesboro High's Georgia-Certified English, Speech, and Theatre Arts Educator Eddie Frazier and upper level members of the school's Theatre Troupe.

Join Camp MUSEC 2025 for a transformative musical journey. Discover the power of music to foster growth, creativity, and emotional well-being. This unique music camp combines the director's background in music therapy with over 17 years in music education to provide M.U.S.E.C. - Music Unlocks Social Emotional Creativity.  The one-week camp is for children ages 10-14, and will incorporate songwriting, ukulele, hand drumming, and more. No prior music experience is necessary.

The Bulloch County Literacy Council has partnered with local businesses to place more than 50 reading nooks for children inside their businesses. Each offers a safe, cozy space where children can enjoy a book and select a book to take home and keep. It's a great way to encourage children to read, especially while you are out and about in the community and a way to help build home libraries. See a list of the Reading Nooks here. 

The Bulloch County Literacy Council and Bulloch County Schools have further increased access to books for Bulloch County children. Seven newspaper boxes have been converted into sharing libraries for children and an extension of the Bulloch County Schools' Book Bus across the county. This is where you can find a Sharing Library and your child may pick out a book to take home.
