Help A Child Smile Mobile Dentistry Services

The Help a Child Smile Mobile Dental Program partners with school districts to offer full-service dental care at school. Each year their mobile dentistry units visit our schools.

If your child is insured with Medicaid/Peachcare for Kids, there is no cost to you. They also accept most private insurances.
 
If you are interested, please fill out the paper permission forms that are provided to all student families at the beginning of the school year and return them to your child's school. You may also sign up online. Help a Child Smile receives all of the forms and determines eligibility. Your child's school will alert you when a Help A Child Smile Mobile Dental unit will visit your school. 

Why is Mobile Dentistry Important?

When children have poor oral health or experience oral pain due to lack of access to proper dental care, it can affect their ability to learn, their behavior, their social and emotional well-being, and school attendance.

According to data provided by Help A Child Smile, more than "51 million school hours are lost due to poor oral health. Help A Child Smile addresses this national crises by offering in-school dental care, bringing the care to the need at no cost."
