Graduation Requirements
Parents and students should note that to be a candidate for graduation and obtain a high school diploma, a student must meet the State of Georgia's graduation requirements. These requirements are based on the number of credits a student has successfully earned, not attending high school for four years and being classified as a senior in high school.
If a high school student has ever failed a class and not successfully recovered those course credits, then the student may not be on track to graduate with his or her class. Parents and students should review the student's course information on Campus Portal or speak to your school counselor.
Ask about course recovery options at your school or through the school district's Graduation Performance Academy. The school district also has a new hybrid high school program, Learners Involved in Flexible Learning, which provides virtual, on campus, or a combination of both to help serve students with medical and work hardships. These programs may keep a student on track to graduate.
2026 Commencement Ceremonies
Graduation Dates: May 20, 21, and 22, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. High school principals will determine the date assignments in the fall.
An admission ticket is required to attend graduation at Southeast Bulloch High School and Statesboro High School. Tickets are only issued to graduates for distribution to their selected guests. Specific information for each ceremony is communicated to graduates and their families by the high schools.
Each ceremony can be watched live on this website at the scheduled times. They will also be available to watch via live stream and via video replay on WSAV's website, WASV's Facebook page, and on Bulloch County School's Facebook page.
