Graduation Ceremonies for the Class of 2027
Bulloch County Schools' three high schools have set the dates for their Class of 2027 commencement ceremonies. These are the dates:
- Tuesday, May 25, 2027, at 7:30 p.m.: Portal Middle High School at the Portal Athletic Complex in Portal, Georgia
- Wednesday, May 26, 2027, at 7:30 p.m.: Southeast Bulloch High School at Fred Shaver Field in Brooklet, Georgia
- Thursday, May 27, 2027, at 7:30 p.m.: Statesboro High School at Womack Field in Statesboro, Georgia.
These dates correspond to the last three days of the school year with the last day of school for all students being on Thursday, May 27. The dates protect faculty post-planning, which is Friday, May 28, and avoid the national Memorial Day holiday weekend May 29-31.
Graduation Requirements
Parents and students should note that to be a candidate for graduation and obtain a high school diploma, a student must meet the State of Georgia's graduation requirements. These requirements are based on the number of credits a student has successfully earned, not attending high school for four years and being classified as a senior in high school.
If a high school student has ever failed a class and not successfully recovered those course credits, then the student may not be on track to graduate with his or her class. Parents and students should review the student's course information on Campus Portal or speak to your school counselor.

Bulloch County Schools' Graduation Performance Academy is a student support program for high schools students in grades 9 to 12, who need to recover required course credits to either remain on-track to graduate high school in four years or to complete high school.
