Federal Programs' Mission
Provide leadership to align state and federal program requirements with the district's strategic plan to maximize student achievement.

Federal Programs' Purpose
To ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and assessments. Title I, Part A provides federal dollars to help supplement educational opportunities for children who live in high poverty areas who are most at risk of failing to meet state's challenging achievement standards.

How Federal Program Funding is Used

Through a consolidated planning approach, the district uses federal dollars to assist schools in providing a quality education for every child. These federal dollars support efforts such as effective programming, professional development, parent/community involvement, and the provision of a safe, orderly climate conducive to our teachers teaching and our students learning. Federal Programs implemented in the Bulloch County School District are the following:

  • Title I, Part A      For Improving Academic Achievement
  • Title I, Part A      For Neglected & Delinquent Children
  • Title I, Part C      For Migrant Education
  • Title II, Part A    For Improving Teacher Quality
  • Title III, A            For Language Instruction for English Learners
  • Title III, A            For Language Instruction for Immigrant Students
  • Title IV, Part A   For Student Support and Academic Enrichment
  • Tile IV, Part A     For Student Support & Academic Enrichment and stART Grants
  • Title IV, Part B    For 21st Century Community Learning Centers

Family Engagement Program

Family Engagement is an ongoing process to increase active participation, communication, and collaboration between parents families, schools, and the community. The goal is to educate the whole child to ensure student achievement and success. When schools and families support each other, we can create meaningful partnerships that can result in students of all backgrounds and abilities achieving at higher levels.

Bulloch County Schools is committed to continually enhancing our engagement with parents, families and the community. The Family Engagement Program believes that when parents, guardians, schools, families, and communities work together then can establish meaningful partnerships that ultimately lead to significant improvement across the board in student achievement.
