Georgia Milestones Assessments
Bulloch County Schools annually administers the Georgia Milestones' End-of-Grade tests to students in grades 3 to 8 and the End-of-Course tests to grades 9 to 12. It measures how well students are learning the knowledge and skills they have been taught from the state's academic content standards.
Federal and state laws require public schools to annually assess all enrolled students. In Georgia, the State Board of Education has determined that the Georgia Milestones Assessment System will fulfill this mandate; therefore, Bulloch County Schools is required to offer all students the opportunity to participate in state assessments.
Specific accommodations are allowed for students who require them. Neither an Individualized Education Program team nor a parent can request that a student be exempted from the assessment.
