One of Bulloch County Schools' strategic goals is to continually improve how we engage our families and community. Parent and family engagement is crucial to each child throughout his or her pre-kindergarten through twelfth-grade experience. Bulloch County Schools encourages parents and guardians to remain actively involved. When you are actively engaged in your child's education and well informed about how to achieve success, it positively affects your child's achievement.

Parent and family engagement is an ongoing process that increases active participation, communication, and collaboration between parents, schools, and communities with the goal of educating the whole child to ensure student achievement and success.  The research is clear that when schools and families support each other, students of all backgrounds and various abilities achieve at higher levels.

Therefore, the Family Engagement Program believes parents, guardians, schools, families, and communities who work together can create meaningful partnerships that ultimately lead to significant gains across the board in student achievement.

Family Resource Centers

Each of our elementary and middle schools is equipped with a parent resource center.  They are open during the school day, and a family engagement specialist or other school staff member can assist you with the resources you need. The centers offer the following materials: educational manipulatives, educational games, flash cards, workbooks, books to assist your child in reading, math and other content areas, parenting books, and more.

Family Workshops

Bulloch County Schools periodically hosts workshops for families. These are designed to provide families with information they can use to help children achieve academic success. These workshops take place in the schools as well as in community centers throughout the county. Check with your school for upcoming family events and workshops.
