Invitation to Bid: Bulloch County Schools' Transportation Department is accepting bids for tires and wheels. Bids may be emailed to Janet Tanner, Transportation Director, or hand delivered in a sealed envelope to 219 Simons, Statesboro, Georgia.

The vendor with the winning bid has 20 business days from the day of the awarded bid notification to pick up and fulfill all bid requirements to Bulloch County Schools' satisfaction. If we do not receive the wheels and tires that meet specifications within 20 days, then the contract will be nullified and the next vendor whose bid was the closest to the winning bid will have the opportunity to take over the bid.
          
Bulloch County Schools has the right to reject any tires and/or rims that do not meet specifications.  All tires/rims that do not meet the specifications will be corrected at the vendor's expense. If more than five percent have to be returned due to not meeting specifications, this will result in this being noted on the next bid.

Vendor will provide to Bulloch County Schools, to their satisfaction, clear documentation of credits earned, tires rejected and reason for tires' rejection.

Bid Deadline: Bids will close on March 20, 2023 at 12:00 pm. Bids received after this stated time will not be considered.  Address bid to: Bulloch County School System, Transportation Department, 219 Simons Road, Statesboro, Georgia 30458, and to the attention of  Janet Tanner or submit via email to Janet Tanner with Tire Bid in the subject line.

Bid Specifications:

• 87 complete tires
• Recondition 80 wheels
• Balance 91 tires
• 91 valve stems replaced in reconditioned wheels
• Tire Size: 11r 22.5 
• Tires must be manufactured to meet school bus specifications with documentation 
• Minimum: 16 ply tire designed for school buses/ all position drive and steer tire
• Minimum: 19/32 tread depth.
• Dismount old tires, checking wheels for cracks, wear, damage, removal of valve stem, sand blast wheels, and powder-coat white.
• Install new valve stems and seals, install new Bulloch County Schools approved tire and balance with balancing beads only.
• Powder-coat on wheels not to exceed 3.5mil. Must be checked by the Dealer and documented prior to delivery

Instructions to Bidders (Please read carefully):

• Submit bid based on the bid specifications shown above.
• State Manufacturer, Brand Name, Model, ect. For each item bid on.
• Bids received after stated time will not be considered.
• Be sure to read all conditions and verify amounts before submitting bids. No changes or additions will be allowed after submission.
• Guarantees and warranties should be attached as a part of the bid as they may be a consideration in awarding a contract.
• Delivery or contract completion time is to be shown, as this date may, where time is of the essence, determine the contract award.
• It is intended that bids be adequate for any vendor to respond to Bulloch County Schools' requirements. Should any vendor have questions, those questions shall be e-mailed to the attention of Janet Tanner.
• Bulloch County Schools reserves the right to accept part or all of the any specific bid or bids.
• Bulloch County Schools further reserves the right to reject all bids or part or all of any specific bid or bids.

Invitation to Bid: Bulloch County Schools requests sealed bids from general contractors for the construction of an athletic track at Portal Middle High School in Portal, Georgia (Bulloch County). Bids will be received by the Bulloch County Board of Education (Owner), located at 150 Williams Road, Suite A, Statesboro, Georgia, 30458.

Bid Documents: Bid documents may be obtained electronically through the office of the architect, James W. Buckley and Associates. Bid document requests must be emailed to Teresa Moore at the office of the architect, James W. Buckley and Associates, and the documents may be obtained electronically. Additionally, any questions regarding the bid documents or the bid process should be directed by email to Chris Shafer.

Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference: A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on March 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., at Portal Middle High School, 27245 Highway 80 West, Portal, Georgia 30450. The Pre-Bid Conference is mandatory in order to submit a bid. Prospective bidders who do not attend the Pre-Bid Conference will not be allowed to submit bids for the project.

Bid Deadline: April 10, 2023, prior to 1 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. The bid envelope shall be marked Sealed Bid – Portal Middle High School Track 

Bid Opening: The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Bulloch County Board of Education, 150 Williams Road, Statesboro, Georgia 30458 on April 10, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. local time (Eastern Standard Time).

Bid Requirements:

• The contract, if awarded, will be on lump sum basis.
• No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 35 days after time has been called on the date of opening.
• Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond and in an amount not less than five percent of the base bid.
• Both performance bond and a payment bond will be required in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price and executed by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of Treasury Circular 570, latest edition. The Surety Company shall have an A.M. Best Company minimum rating of “A” with a financial size of VII “7” or better.
• Bonds must be accompanied by letter stating bonding company’s current rating for verification prior to acceptance by the Owner and execution of the formal Owner/Contractor agreement.
• Contractor and all subcontractors are required to have registered and be authorized to use Federal Work Authorization Program “Employment Eligibility Verification in accordance with Georgia law O.C.G.A. §13-10-91 “Illegal Immigration Reform and Enforcement Act of 2011”.
• The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities and to award the project on whatever basis is in the interest of the Owner.

Request for Proposals: Bulloch County Schools is soliciting quotes for school bus transportation technology, specifically, routing and field trip software and tablets for buses with live global positioning system capability. This bid is to provide labor, sundries, and all equipment/tools required to prepare surfaces to receive and to apply the coating system.

Request for Proposals: Math Resources Adoption

Bid Deadline: January 31, 2023, at 3 p.m. 

Request: Bulloch County Schools requests sealed bids from general contractors for construction of a multipurpose building at Statesboro High School.
