Our Location
We serve a thriving, growing area. Headquartered in Statesboro, Georgia, we are located in Southeast Georgia, just 45 minutes northeast of Savannah and 30 minutes from the new Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. Our county also includes the rural communities of Brooklet, Stilson, Nevils, Register, and Portal. In fact, our Board of Education purposefully committed to keep community schools in place over consolidation to preserve the highest level of family engagement which we value. We are also fortunate to be part of an education community, as Statesboro is home to Georgia Southern University and Ogeechee Technical College.
The Families We Serve
We celebrate and support the diverse backgrounds of our students, who represent 18 different nationalities and bring 24 different languages and cultures into our schools. This rich diversity is woven into our school climates, and we’re proud to offer an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and seen.
With more than 11,000 students across 15 schools, and three learning programs, Bulloch County Schools is the 38th largest school district in Georgia and one of the area’s largest employers, bringing together more than 2,400 dedicated full-time, part-time and substitute faculty and staff.
Here, students have the opportunity to thrive academically while also exploring their talents through a variety of fine arts, skilled career pathways, athletics, and other extracurricular opportunities.

As a forward-thinking school district, we engage in an international re-accreditation process every five years, allowing us to evaluate and improve our programs continually. We partner with esteemed education organizations like Cognia (formerly AdvancED) and regional agencies to ensure that our students benefit from innovative and effective learning experiences. Families can also rest assured that our district is committed to sound financial management, earning state and national recognition for excellence in financial reporting.
