Hurricane Florence Updates: Monday, September 10

Hurricane Florence UpdatesBulloch County Schools always remains in close contact with the Bulloch County Emergency Management Agency.  In regards to Hurricane Florence, we  began last week to receive regular updates and have conversations with EMA about the storm's projections and local advisories for Bulloch County.

As of 7:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 10, current projections for our area are to receive some rain and wind beginning Wednesday evening, but EMA does not predict it to be of a magnitude to warrant closing schools.  As we know, this can change, so we will continue to monitor conditions and make decisions based on the latest information. Please prepare for possible scenarios of power outages and road closures.

It is always wise to plan early to ensure your family has the supplies needed in the event of sustained power outages.  Visit www.Ready.gov for ways to prepare your family for severe weather and emergencies.

Bulloch County Schools will communicate information about school operations via our website, social media, media, local public safety partners, and our One Call Now email and telephone messaging system.
