Paraprofessional Employment

Thank you for your interest in becoming a paraprofessional with Bulloch County Schools. 


Qualifications for Paraprofessionals (Must one of the following)

  • High School Diploma or GED (Must pass GACE Paraprofessional Assessment)
  • One year of College (Must pass GACE Paraprofessional Assessment)
  • Two years of college with at least 60 semester hours (No assessment needed)
  • Associates degree or Higher (No assessment needed)

GACE Paraprofessional Assessment Information

  • $40.00 Cash~ exact amount (paid onsite, the day of the test)
  • 2 ½ hours (computer-based)
  • Register online at etc.fdresa.org/parapro
  • Contact First District RESA 912-842-5000

The assessment tests one's knowledge and ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing and mathematics.


You will only receive a Paraprofessional Certificate once you have been hired as a paraprofessional. Any potential new employees for paraprofessional positions will meet with Charlisa Osgood to complete the application process. The following documentation will be needed at that time:

  • Official Transcripts or
  • Official Scores (if a GACE Paraprofessional Assessment was taken)
