Statesboro TurkeyTrot 5K is Nov. 18

Turkety Trot 5K LogoThe 10th Annual Turkey Trot 5K is Saturday, November 18 through beautiful downtown Statesboro. You can register online now at Active.com! For registration forms and sponsorship details, visit www.bullochschools.org/foundation.

 

The event is fun for competitive runners and the whole family. Form your own team of friends, teammates, coworkers, or neighbors, get active as a family or be a party of one, either way, it's fun for any fitness level. Warm up on the Courthouse Square, enjoy the scenic route through downtown Statesboro and its vibrant fall colors and end your trek at the Main Street Farmers Market, the Averitt Center for the Arts' Main Gallery or fuel up at one of our local restaurants.


Registration is $20 for students with a valid i.d. and $20 for members of teams of five or more. Individual registration is $25 prior to Nov. 4, and $30 thereafter.

 

Race day registration and packet pick up begins at 8 a.m., a mascot race and kids 1K fun run follows at 8:30. The 5K Turkey Trot begins at 9:00. Awards will be presented immediately following the race. See you Nov. 18.

 

All proceeds help the Bulloch County Foundation for Public Education fund innovation grants for Bulloch County Schools' teachers, provide REACH Georgia Scholarships to deserving youth, and provide an annual grant of $1,000 to the school system's Teacher of the Year.
