10th Annual Downtown Pep Rally

Mainstreet Statesboro will host its 10th Annual Downtown Pep Rally on Friday, Aug. 3, from 5:30 - 8 p.m., on the Courthouse Square to celebrate the new school year and kick-off the 2018 football season. Join the cheerleaders and pep bands in cheering for your favorite teams at these times:  6 p.m. Portal Middle High School Panthers, 7 p.m. Southeast Bulloch High School Yellow Jackets and at 7:30 p.m., Statesboro High School Blue Devils.   

 

Tommy Palmer with Georgia High School Scoreboard will introduce the teams and interview coaches and players about the upcoming season. The event is sponsored by Statesboro Natural Gas, who will provide free hotdogs and lemonade for all the athletes. There will be food trucks, funnel cakes, frozen treats and local vendors set up on Siebald Street for all attendees, and. Party Harbor is providing free entry for children in its bouncy houses.  See you downtown.
