Bulloch County Schools will host its 2018 New Hire Orientation on Fri., July 20, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Statesboro High School. The annual event is for employees who will join the school system this year.  Nearly 150 new employees will attend in preparation for their positions across the district such as teachers, social workers, administrators, an support staff.


The event will begin with a networking breakfast and welcome by Superintendent Charles Wilson.  Sessions include key topics to help ensure safe and healthy learning environments like mandated reporting procedures, safety and risk, cultural diversity training, and understanding the code of conduct for educators. East Georgia Regional Medical Center is also providing a Hands-Only CPR class.


Bulloch County Schools is the county's second largest employer with more than 1,750 full-time, part-time, contracted services, substitute, and seasonal employees. This is the peak of the school system's hiring season which kicked off with an Employee Recruitment Fair in March and runs through September.
