The Bulloch County Foundation for Public Education is hosting the First Annual Statesboro's Got Talent Contest, Saturday, February 16, 6:00 p.m. at Statesboro High School's Fine Arts Auditorium. The event is part of the Foundation's fundraising efforts which assist with its mission to provide innovation grants to Bulloch County Schools' teachers.
Interested persons or groups should visit the contest's website at www.youvegottalent.us to review the contest's rules and regulations. Contestants must then register online by January 25. Pre-registered contestants will audition for a potential contest appearance February 2, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Statesboro High School's Fine Arts Auditorium.
The top 20 contestants from the auditions will then compete in the First Annual Statesboro's Got Talent Contest February 16. Judges will award more than $1,200 in prize money with $500 monetary awards going to both the Judges' Choice and First Place winners and $250 and $100 to be awarded to the second and third-place winners.
